This series explores iconic names in the history
of medicine through the lens of materials held within The Henry R. Winkler
Center for the History of the Health Professions; as a medical archive,
library, and museum, the Henry R. Winkler Center encourages visitors and researchers
to explore the Cincinnati area’s rich medical and health history and to
discover the people who have contributed to important advances in medicine,
nursing, and pharmaceutical sciences. Conducting the narration for each
installment of the series is Dr. William Camm, a 1977 graduate of the
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Internist who serves as a
member of the Advisory Board of the Winkler Center. We hope you enjoy this
installment of Icones Medicus.
