This video demonstrates how to sew a French link stitch, unsupported. The French link is often used in conservation due to its strength and flexibility. In the video, a thick colored, pre-waxed linen thread is used to help emphasize sewing only. When sewing a French link we recommend using an Irish linen 18/3 thread.
