This is the recording of the 2020-11-19 UC LIbraries workshop "Teaching with Jupyter Notebooks", instructor - Mark Chalmers.
Workshop Description - A Jupyter notebook is a browser-based tool for preparing interactive documents containing visualizations, executable code, and narrative text. These powerful notebooks create computational stories that can be powerful tools for teaching and learning, especially in a remote environment. This workshop will introduce Jupyter notebooks, discuss benefits to students and instructors, and offer use cases on how Jupyter notebooks enabled a smooth transition to remote learning in the current environment. The workshop is geared towards faculty in any discipline who may be curious about teaching tools that enable new modes of learning. No prior experience with Jupyter notebooks is expected.
