Bonnie Cashin (1915-2000) was a fashion designer who created clothing for the modern woman in the mid-20th century. She is considered the creator of sportswear and the concept of layering. You may not have ever heard of her, but you have most likely seen her Coach handbags with their brass turn-lock hardware. The University of Cincinnati has a collection of over 200 garments that were gifted by Philip Sills, owner of Philip Sills & Co. The garments range from the 1960s to the late 1970s.
